"Enchanting Vietnam" is a love letter to Vietnam. Each of the 9 fragrances is a personal and contemporary interpretation of the elements found in Vietnamese's rich heritage.
I have so many thoughts on these fragrances, these are all so unique and capture the essence of their inspiration so accurately. It is a very impressive collection. The only 2 I would not eagerly buy full bottles of are Phu Quoc and Pho Breakfast, because they didn't smell as unique or accurate as I'd hoped. I generally like sweet girly scents, and i dont typically appreciate masculine fragrances, so based on the notes, I expected to hate Through The Forest. Through The Forest might legitimately be my favorite one, this is the best masculine fragrance I've ever smelled, and I'm wearing it on myself as I type this. I've never smelled something so smooth, dark, spicy and cozy before. It's giving log cabin in the winter vibes, and layers so well with Vietnamese Coffee. So my "must have" list is White Rice, Monsoon Tea, Through The Forest, and Vietnamese Coffee.
I just returned home from a trip to Los Angeles where I was inundated by the sights, smells and tastes of a multicultural lanscape. I had experienced enough sensory overload to last me for a week. I opened my mail to find the discovery set thinking that I might not have an appreciation for this exploration given my mindset.
Boy was I wrong.
I started with white rice--- clean with a hint of pandan leaf. Cleared my senses gently. Then I progressed through each sample alighting upon a new story with each spray. I could smell Vietnam at her best. She is beautiful. All I can say is Wow.
This is really a new sensory experience and it's deepy informed by culture, memory and refinement of taste. I will be purchasing a full sized bottle and recommending these to friends. Kudos!
This discovery set is my favorite of all time. The stories! The descriptions of each scent really take you there, and then smelling the scent is like being in the photo in your mind. They are so enchanting. White rice was an immediate love for me, and Da lat was a gorgeous surprise. Rose is either great or awful to me and this one is beautifully rich and deep. In the garden and Phu Quoc are next Ont he wish list. I also really loved the perfume paper sticks labeled with the names! This is the safest blind buy of all time, no regrets. 💛
The storytelling is immersive. The packaging and scents are beautifully crafted.
FI love that there were perfume blotters labeled with each fragrance. I think every brand should do that. There was absolutely not a single bad perfume in the bunch. I enjoyed every single one. Monsoon Tea and Vietnamese Coffee are my favorites. Monsoon Tea smells like sipping green tea in the jungles of southeast Asia at noon. It's wonderful. Vietnamese Coffee is perfectly photorealistic of drinking an iced Robusta with condensed milk. I also really loved Phu Quoc which is possibly the best aquatic I have ever smelled and Pho Breakfast. There's really nothing like. It starts off very much like fresh red ginger and as it dries down the coriander note starts to show itself more. It's a lovely wearble interpretation. So creative. I cannot wait to see more. I will for sure be getting a full bottle, if not many full bottles.
